1.
On the day when Malala Yousufzai
was
attacked
Allah shouted
Better
Men don‘t give me
99 names
than dare shoot one of my
daughters
for my daughter is I
for her will is ours
because she wants nothing else
but what I love
nothing but
going to school.
Better none calls me
– Ya Hayy –
The Alive, the Living One
to have a long life
I die for her
Better none names me
– Ya Jabbar –
I lose all my names
When she loses hers
Do not call me
The Compeller
protecting from violence,
severity or
hardness.
The Just
– Ya ‘Adl –
shouted nobody knows me
many murmur my name
but nobody listens to me
And the attackers sang proudly
praising
HIM.
2.
On the day when Malala Yousufzai
was attacked
Allah murmured
since mankind supposes
I am male
the troubles started.
How to convince
the human race
I – Allah – I am the big mother
love to suckle the children on my
breasts
love to ease the pains
feed the straving
nourish the deserving.
People have nothing else to do
than just lending me their hands
to help.
Killing is not part of my
business
and will never be.
How can they do it in my name?
Sisi na Malala. We with Malala
From silent hollows
shall songs come
and a little light
for those who on prison floors
lie
Letters will flutter free
for they broken and prisoned for
freedom
Malala in her wounds
writes justice for all women
what is it in reading in writing
their fear
women find?
What if not freedom and a spirit
that dares,
a new flag to raise?
A new flame light in the night?
Can you see Malala thanking you
for
caring
for joining her voice in asking
for what is
overdue
Her pains bear many women and
girls in
sorrow
Then she smiles from a hospital
bed and
says Peace
nothing else
Malala and us, we with Malala
salaam
speak
They pray today for souls gone
before,
we in letters bring voice for
souls stolen
from
our midst.
Malala
salaam, Malala salaama, Malala lala,
Malalala.
May rays of this morning‘s sun
hide in
your
soul forever
And we all know it is time to say: NO!
